Do you have colleagues or co-workers or even friends who tell you that you are fat and you should try and lose some weight?
How do you feel when this happens?
Do you feel ok with it, knowing that they are right? or do you feel sad and resent them?

Hmm.. yes they do.
A lot of my friends ick on me and i sometimes feel discouraged, but i move forward and try not to listen to them. Maybe they mean no harm but it does bother me sometimes.
My family on the other hand is quite supportive. I love it when they tell me how slim i will look after a while and how they trust me in doing this.

Some of my s called friends does this to me. I feel that they shouldn’t do it if they are my friends because it can lower my self-esteem. Sometimes this is the cause of our fights. I’m fed of them; they don’t care if someone is hurting just because of their jokes.

I do have some "called friends" as Fatguy said you love making stupid jokes about weight when I am around. They consider them funny and don't see that in the end they are just pouring some salt on my open wounds so to say. I am aware of the fact I need to lose weight, I don't need them to constantly remind me I am fat.

My friends, they never picked on me. Not even before, when i was even more chubby :D
Sometimes i am on the street and i feel like people look at me in a strange way, but i think it's just my imagination.. I try not to care about these things anyway, they would only disturb me.

Hmm...I wish someone picked on me because of my weight. I'd smack them instantly :D. I really don't feel fat, though I am very chubby. My friends like to hang out with me, probably they feel protected near me, but in reality I'm not an aggressive person. Not at all, I try to avoid conflicts (and the usual bar fights that occur in my town). If they say a joke, I laugh with them, but they're not mean jokes.

No, I haven't been teased or picked on because of my weight, but my husband's dad always tells him to lose some weight. I know he cares about him, but my husband hates it and it has exactly the opposite effect. We have turned it into a joke now and when we visit we guess how long it will take him to mention weight. I would understand it more if my husband was seriously overweight, but he is not.

I don't remember being picked on because of my weight. I was however picked on for other reasons, but that's another story... As for fat persons jokes, besides not getting where the line between mean ones and ok ones should be crossed, I don't have a problem with them. Having a sense of humour and being able to laugh at your own expense is something cool...

No, people have not picked on me by calling me names or laughing at me but if you are fat I think people treat you differently, I think they make assumptions about you. I think short people get treated differently too.

I’m glad to hear that you don’t have one of those so called friends. I don’t really think that they a friend at all because all they do is try to put you down. Friends should be the one helping you to lift up your spirit when you are down.
