This is the best thing to keep exercising a lot. I keep telling myself that I’m fat and everyone is laughing at me so I will become more aggressive on my exercise program. It’s a reverse psychology that I’m doing to myself.

Do you tell yourself that you are fat?

I don't need to tell myself I'm fat, I know I am fat! I think the exact opposite works for me, when I am successful and I feel that my clothes are not so tight, I feel better about myself and it encourages me to work harder to achieve more.

Well, if telling yourself that you're fat increases your motivation, keep telling this to yourself... :p I haven't tried this, but it's sounds weird. I figure out it would decrease my possitive thinking, so I'm not sure what the results may be in this case. Reverse psychology? Wouldn't reverse phychology be telling yourself that you're not fat? Reversed... as in opposed to the truth ... ? No?

This is a clear example of negative thinking. It will eventually result in a self-hating process and depression. The way you talk to yourself can make a difference. Changing the way your think about yourself can change the way you act in the real life. I'm not in a denial phase, but I don't think that calling myself "fat" can motivate me.

Hmm.. i already know i am fat, i dont need to remind myself about it everyday :D
I am very positive and thoughts like this just get me down. Of course i know this is the truth, but despite it i make the effort to lose the weight and not to be fat anymore :)

Hmm, this is interesting. No, I don't tell me I am fat, I am telling myself: "OK, John, you were fat like this and see how much progress you've made". My small goals being achieved and the progress I see make me go on. Thinking I'm fat would discourage me.But if it works for you, then it's good.

It wouldn't work for me either. I do know I need to lose weigth, but I tell this myself in a positive way. I don't want to feel too guilty (I do have such feelings sometimes) so that this would stop me from working on my weighloss program. I need to love myself first, then I can make the changes i want

This is interesting. I also tell myself "look what's you've become" since I like to be rough on myself. It's something that reminds me of the army in a way. I tell myself I am fat and I also tell myself how I want to be like in the near future. There is no way I am blaming myself for this too much (there's nothing I can do related to the past), but I try to make sure I don't repeat my mistakes.
