Come on, you've all heard some sort of myth! Let's gather them all in here. I'll start with a common one:

Myth 1: If you have a lot of weight to lose, diet the weight off before you start the workout

It's one of the most funny myths I've ever heard! Come on, diet alone can't do the job! Wake up people! What are you going to do with the muscle mass? Add some activity to the muscles.

It's a common mistake among people who exercise: if you don't feel sore after a session, you haven't done a good workout. A big mistake! If you're sore after a workout, it means that you had a good workout, but it's not the other way around! Even if you never went to a gym, you can hear myths like: running is the best "exercise" to get in good shape.

You are sore when you start the exercise program. Because our body is not adjusted to the effort. If we keep on a good schedule with the sports too, we can work out great and also feel great afterwards.

I also dislike the idea that you need to diet and then to workout. It's good to have a balanced diet (discussed with a nutritionist) and workout a lot. By working out we can tone up the muscles and also lose weight, a good diet keeps us from getting more junk food into the system but also helps us be fed as we should to sustain the workout too.

yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music.... nothing else does the job

really. Search around on iTunes for "euro club hits" or check this link::rolleyes:

Elliptical Machines are a good way to get in shape!

Sorry, and if you want to argue, please do, but I did the Elliptical for weeks, pushing as hard as I could for 60 mins plus, then moved over to the treadmill and started a light jog. I was dead tired in no time. I have not gotten on the Elliptical since.
