What is the most important lifestyle change you have made in order to become healthier? I think it is sometimes the small changes that make a big difference. I used to skip breakfast all the time but then I would get hungry and eat snacks during the morning. Now I always have breakfast, usually porridge oats, it is good for me and I don't feel the need to eat snacks anymore.

I think for me it was a change in the way I think. A very close bereavement made me understand that life is happening now, I can't put everything on hold until I am fitter and thinner. My life may not be as I want in terms of weight and fitness, but I am working on it, meantime I need to get on with living and enjoy all the things that are good in my life.

The most important lifestyle change I have made in order to become healthier is sticking to a diet and training my will not to give up when it seems very difficult. Sometimes I exercise a lot, so it becomes a living hell keeping up with all the hard work, but seeing results makes it worth the trouble and possitive thinking helps me to not give up until I reach my goal.

The most important thing I could possibly have done was to change my diet to stay healthier. I think this is even more effective than exercising. I've learned to stay off of food that I know will cause trouble and forced myself to drink a lot more water.

Hmm.. i guess the main changes are: i cook more and i go to the gym a lot.
I cook more because i eat healthy food and i cook it myself, for the diet. Before i did this, i ate junk food and stuff like that, i would just order it and that's it.. now i take the time to cook my own meals.
The same with sports. I used to stay at home and now i use some hours a week to go to the gym :)

1. no more junk food.
2. love the sweets, now I don't eat them anymore. I eat a nice fruit if I feel like snacking.
3. exercise, I do a lot of exercise
4. keep this up. it's a huge lifestyle change and I see it as something permanent

Getting back to the sports was the biggest one. I still eat a lot, but I also watch my diet some more. Doing exercise helps me with this problem. It was hard to start working out again since I was horribly out of shape.

I think my most important lifestyle change is making time - time to cook at home rather than go out and time to exercise. At times it means that the laundry has to wait for another day or dusting won't be done just yet, but it is a very important change in order for me to be healthy.
