Has anyone tried hypnotherapy to help them to loose weight? If so was it successful in helping you to achieve your goals. Were there any side effects? Would you recommend it to others?

I have never tried it but I have been tempted to. I have friends who have used hypnotherapy to give up smoking and they said it was very successful. It is not easy to tell if it was the hypnotherapy that really helped or if they were successful because they believed that it had improved their willpower.

I have never heard of this method. Can you give me more details, please? Is it a safe method? Does it guarantee results? I don't understand how hypnosis can help...maybe it helps you feel better about yourself? Sorry, but this seems unbelievable to me.

I guess it affects your mood and habits. Probably doesn't work for a long term. And the sessions are pretty expensive. I wouldn't go to a session without a friend...who knows what that guy is saying to me.:p I don't trust this method...

I'm very interested in hypnotherapy, but there are a lot of things common folks don't understand about this method, so it's best to do some extensive research before going out to try it.

I've never tried hypnotherapy for weight loss and I doubt it works. I'm almost impossible to hypnotise. A few hypnotists and some friends have tried, but it seems I have too strong of an inner space to fall into a trance. I don't think I'm hypnotizable. :p

Well, they say it depends on the person's willingness, or ability to concentrate? Something or other. My cousin was very easily hypnotized by a classmate. A classmate, not a licensed hypnotist!

Hmm.. i never tried this. I am to scared of it. I am scared of the effect of it.
Maybe it works for some people but i'm afraid they might do something to me. I guess i don't trust people that much :(

I haven't tried this either. I don't think i'd be too happy having someone do this to me. I saw a lot of movies about this being used to help people remember some things from their past, but this is the closest I want to get to hypnotherapy
