With so many workouts to choose from, it’s important to choose the right program to suit your lifestyle and needs. What is the difference between yoga and Pilates, and what are the advantages of each one?

I know what yoga is, but what are pilates, exactly? I've heard of them but I have no idea what they are. They seem to be very popular among Hollywood celebrities, though.

I think that I have seen this question being ask here before but anyway I think that the difference between the two is that a yoga takes more on the concentration part than and less with the stretch while pilates is the opposite.

Nope, I've searched and there was a thread about Pilates, but not with the difference between Yoga and Pilates. I really don't know much about these techniques, because I'm concentrating on my regular workout (fitness/bodybuilding) at the gym. I guess Pilates is about breathing techniques and Yoga is about meditation. Is is good to combine these techniques?

This discussion looks familiar on me!
@Serena
Pilates is the exercise program where you are doing a lot of exercises. Actually the two exercise program looks exactly alike. I don’t really know what makes it different from the other.
