Products to lower your cholesterol?

Do you buy the spreads or drinks that claim to help lower your cholesterol? I know that it is most important to have a good diet, but these products can make a difference. Unfortunately some people say that they cause unpleasant side effects, have you experienced this?

I heard of those products, but i never bought them.
I prefer to stay low on fat than spend money on special medicine or food or stuff like that that's supposed to be magical :)

I buy these kinds of products but i never felt awckward afterwards..
I don't know if they are any good, but i seem to be ok with my diet. I don't buy them so often, i mainly eat vegetables in my diet, but these products are ok also.
