Am I the only one who is getting the strength to go on by having some fictional characters like Goku from Dragonball Z and other characters from other cartoons? Right now, this is what I’m doing because I get inspired whenever I see these guys strive very hard to be the best of what they are doing.

Well, I do get a lot of inspiration from fictional characters, but not when it comes to dieting. First of all, I can't think of a lot of books I've read where a character deals with weight problems. Second, it affects me way more to see a real life person who's trying hard as opposed to a fictional one.

No, I don't think I get any inspiration from fictional characters, in fact I can't recall reading any books that mention dieting in any detail. I read a lot of historical books and that has made me realise how lucky we are to have sufficient food and it has made me feel a sense of responsibility that there are people starving in our world while I am too fat

I don't know any characters that struggle to lose weight, but when it comes to exercising Dragonball Z is a great inspirational show. When I was a teenager, I used to have trouble refraining myself from getting up from the chair and training myself along with SonGoku and Vegeta... I cannot believe how energetic that show can be! Of course, unlike Goku who could train for hours, I get tired after 10 minutes... :p Another character that I find inspiring is Samurai Jack. For those that haven't watched the show - buy the DVDs and watch it as soon as you find it! :)
