I’m currently weighing more than 200 pounds. I have already tried so many exercises and dieting at the same time, but I don’t have so much success. I have also tried going to gym classes. I just can’t figure it out why can’t I stay motivated on the entire exercise program that I’m with. Can anyone suggest a good way to stay motivated?

Welcome to the forum fatguy:)

Set some goals for yourself; short term ones and long term ones....
In terms of exercise make it fun...have variety..going to the gym day after day can get boring. How about going for a walk or jog somewhere outside? playing frisbee with your dog or friends? Are there any sports that you like? Finding something that you enjoy doing should make the journey easier.

Good luck..:) Keep us posted on your journey.

I agree with Autumm. Setting a short term goals will definitely keep you on track. I believe that it is easier to achieve short term goals than a long one so this will only mean that you will see some results and then you will be motivated because you have achieve your first goal. After doing so, you can set another goal. This is the

Hello, I am also new here so I won't tell you welcome, just that I am glad to meet you ;)

It is important to set those smaller goals we all think about and maybe also picture yourself slimmer. Whenever I felt discouraged I would think about myself without those pounds. And if you can, get someone with you there. Maybe a friend or something. When you are not alone it's easier.

Just keep doing the great job ;)

I need to loose weight because of my disease. I'm not so fat but any pound makes me harm. I stay motivated just like this:
I repeat in my mind: i'm not hungry, i don't live to eat, i eat to live. And in this way I keep away that need to eat.

You could do this entire thing if you just trust yourself. Don’t ever give up on your exercise program and one you will see the results of all the hardships that you are doing right now. Sure, it is hard right now, but please remembers that was like you I used to be fat too. I hope that this can be your motivation.

That is the other reason why am I thinking of loosing some pounds. I’m prone to diseases because I’m not that healthy. I’m fat but I don’t feel healthy. I don’t know why some people think that fat people are healthier.

These days being fat doesn’t mean that you are healthy. Back on the old days, it is understood that when you are fat you are considered as healthy because back then there were few appliances that could help us on our daily chores. I almost forgot that most of the people always walk to get into their destinations.

I agree with the short term goals. I'm trying for that as well. Another thing that keeps me going in music. I listen to it while working out and it helps a lot! It makes time fly and keeps my mind of off it. Do you have an iPod or MP3 player?

Hmm.. short term goals are good. I think ahead, so short term goals are not that important to me, but when i see i lost 1-2 punds every 2-3 weeks i really am happy.
Seeing that little by little the diet is worthwile is a good thing.
