Did you tell anyone you are on a diet? Are you ashamed of this? Maybe you don't feel comfortable when people know about your diet and you just keep it to yourself.
Some do this and after a while friends notice the change in good.
What is your point of view on this?

I am not ashamed of how I look nor of taking the matter in my hands and trying to lose weight. I like to better myself and know I need to get to a smaller weight. I did tell some of the closest friends about me being on a diet and they have been wonderfully supportive. They would tell me I lost weight even if there was nothing like this :)
It made me feel good though and I really tried to make them "happy". Having someone right beside you in such a case it's a great thing.

Usually when I’m on a diet I never told anyone that I’m such a program because I’m afraid that they will just laugh if they know that I’m in such a diet. People tend to laugh at someone who is obese who is trying to go for a diet. They think that it’s funny.

I know what Fatguy feels here. Sometimes we are encountering this kind of person, but I don’t think that we should let them bother us on our objective. In fact, we can use them to achieve our goal because we can use the negative ones that they are saying to motivate ourselves.

I’m glad that someone here can understand my feelings. Most of the people I know just keeps turning me down by saying that I can’t do it and often laughs when they have known my goal. They think that it’s too funny.

I don't tell people on purpose, only when i go out with someone or visit my friends and they offer me omething to eat. I am not ashamed to do this, since is is afterall a normal thing nowadays.
It is rather hard to be offered cookies or some delicious food and to refuse it :D But i am quite strong and try not to fall in these traps.

My family and my closest friends know I am on a diet and I also do a lot of sports to lose the weight I need. The others just see me get thinner as time goes by and they are also realizing there is something going on. It was good for me to have told my closest friends and relatives since they've been very supportive. I wouldn't achieve such good results otherwise.

My family is also by my side and I don't know what I would do without their help. Even if it was a bit scary at first to tell my close ones about this, I am glad I did it and wasn't ashamed. I want to make my life better and I just admitted I have a problem and they are helping me too.

I don't feel ashamed about stuff like dieting... Why should I? It's not anybody's busines what I do reagarding my way of living. Why should it be something to laugh about? It's the same thing as plastic surgery or breast implants... A thing to make a person feel and look better. I've told my family, my friends and everyone else that have asked the reason for my change of look...

I never keep this thing for myself , all my friends knows when i`m starting a diet. I`m not ashamed , I think that this isn`t at all a reason to be ashamed. In my opinion it`s very well to start a diet and to be roud that you took this decision.

Yes, i did tell people. Especially my parents, so they wouldn't be surprised i don't eat certain foods i usually stuff myself with :)
I would like people to know because they would eventually notice and that would just save them some time :)
I do go out with friends and i have some sandviches with me, while they buy junk food.. I know it's strange but i prefer to "suffer" a little bit because i know the result will be great :D
