I think that it is important to get at least 8 hours of sleep because it can refresh our body and we will get the strength that we need in our daily chore. Lack of sleep will make your body more tired and will hurt your body. A friend of mine once said that we need some sleep so that the cell tissue could revitalize itself.

I also heard that sleeping can help revitalize our body. It is said that sleeping will improve the body’s condition and thus will make us more alert and healthy while we does our daily chores. I have proven that lack of sleep will make your body loose some energy.

Sleeping will help your body to recover the tissue that is damage during the hard exercise that you have done in a day. The gym instructor tells me always take a good night sleep every night to help my body build some muscle.

A good sleeping regime is good for everything, not just losing weight. We can relieve stress, we can relax our mind and body and then we are ready for yet another day of demanding exercise or plain life.
I take my sleep very seriously and I have noticed an improvement in all areas: job, sports, family life. I am not tired anymore and not grumpy as I used to.

I usually sleep for about 7-8 hours each day, but I've also heard that sleeping for more than 8 hours is not that healthy. Does anyone know what is the best recommended snoozing time?

I think it is important to get sufficient sleep. But you should then get up and get on with your daily activities. Excessive amounts of sleep are not good for you and sleeping too much can lead to disrupted sleep patterns including difficulty falling asleep at night and problems getting up in the morning. There is little chance of me having too much sleep as my family keep me very busy!

If you don't get enough sleep your body will not recover completely from the training session and the workout that you previously did will not be as effective. Your body keeps burning calories even when you are sleeping... and you need to rest to get energy for the next day anyway, right?

One other thing that is extremely important, I think... is that you are supposed to sleep when it's dark and wake up when it's light outside. Sleeping in until 2 in the afternoon is definitely not a healthy habit.
